The Atomos Sumo 19-inch SE HDR Monitor/Recorder/Switcher is an upgraded version of the gold mount & v-mount Sumo 19 series. Key features include:
Quad-HD live switching
Two XLR inputs with +48V
ProRes RAW support
HDMI 2.0 & 12G-SDI inputs/outputs
Upgrade Like A Pro. The Atomos Sumo 19" SE HDR Monitor, Recorder, and Switcher maintains the same 4K recording, monitoring, and switching capabilities of its predecessor, but obtains a clearer & brighter display with an upgraded 19" 1920 × 1080 QLED touchscreen display and 1200 cd/m² brightness. Previous features include live quad-channel HD switching and recording, HDMI 2.0 and quad-SDI support genlock and LTC timecode, and recording in ProRes RAW and 10-bit 422 ProRes/DNxHR, making the Sumo 19" SE ideal for monitoring in the field by the director or client.
Constant Power. You get two 4-pin XLR inputs for power, so that the Sumo 19 SE can automatically switch power sources if one stops providing power. You can also use the separate power bracket to use hot-swappable V-Mount batteries in the field.
Versatile Use. This version of the Sumo series is essentially a jack-of-all trades, whether that’s out in the field on a DIT cart, setup as a 1st AC monitor / Director’s monitor, or in the studio for the editing workflow. Whatever your needs, there’s a good chance it will excel.
HDMI and SDI Interfaces. The Sumo 19 SE offers full-size HDMI and SDI input and output ports, so that you can easily connect and convert among any combination of HDMI 2.0 and SDI (Quad 3G/6G/12G). This monitor accepts up to 4K at up to 60 fps, or HD at up to 240 fps over HDMI or the dual SDI inputs. The user interface boasts dedicated input-selection buttons that let you quickly make A/B comparisons between sources, and you get simultaneous HDMI and SDI output for routing to other monitors, recorders, or switchers.
No! The Atomos Sumo19M is just a monitor. If you need recording capability, you’ll want the Atomos Sumo 19-inch HDR Monitor Recorder w/ V-Mount.
This rental doesn’t include any HDMI or SDI cables. You can find our HDMI cables here and SDI cables here. If you’re unsure about which cord is right for your application, please contact us for verification.
We offer a few solutions for this issue. The first one is a mobile work station we’ve put together for shoots where you’re going to be moving around frequently on set and don’t want to continuously need to pick up and move a heavy monitor and stand combo. The Inovativ monitor mount can attach a big monitor to a cart with a baby pin to give you a mobile solution.
Alternatively, if you’re going to be stationary most of the time, check out our Avenger 7.3ft Turtle Base C-Stand Twin Kit or the Kupo 6.7-foot Low Mighty Combo Stand for a rock-solid platform on which to mount this monitor.
If you have questions or need help with your setup, please contact us and one of our production experts can get you pointed in the right direction.
