HyperDeck Miniaturized. The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio Mini minimizes space needed to record broadcast quality video with few features lost from larger decks like the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio Pro 2. If coming from the HyperDeck Studio Pro 2, you’ll lose uncompressed Quicktime recording, quad link SDI output support, XLR and RCA audio I/O, analog video I/O, and HDMI video input but gain 4:4:4:4 video playback and a bunch of desk space.
Pro-Grade File-Based Recording. The HyperDeck Studio Mini records to ProRes 422 HQ/422/422 LT/422 Proxy, Avid DNxHD 220x/145/45/220x MXF/145 MXF/45 MXF, or DNxHR HQX/SQ/LB/HQX MXF/SQ MXF/LB MXF.
Dual UHS-II SD Slots. This recorder’s two UHS-II SD media slots give you the potential to record almost endlessly since recording seamlessly switches to the second SD slot once the first one fills up and the cards are hot swappable.
Video Signals. This recorder supports SD, HD, and 3G signals over SDI and HDMI. You get NTSC and PAL signals, 720 × 480p, and 720 × 576p support over HDMI, and 4K via 6G-SDI and HDMI. The built-in LCD on the front panel lets you monitor input and playback, in addition to timecode, format, and audio levels.
Intuitive Controls. You get VTR-style front-panel record and playback controls. The built-in control knob gives you analog-style control over playback. The buttons are illuminated, so you can easily work in low light.
While not required to operate, UHS-II cards are require for UHD 4K recording. You can find a list of compatible media here.
This rental does not include UHS-II SD media, HDMI cables, SDI cables, or an ATEM switcher.
When used with an ATEM switcher, you will need some form of ethernet hub (not included). If you have any questions about using the HyperDeck with your existing network contact us and a tech will be happy to help you determine if this is the right gear for you.
