Canon has updated their stellar 400mm DO IS lens! The update brings gapless dual-layer diffractive optics which helps reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations. One large diameter ground aspherical element and one ultra-low dispersion element minimize distortions to give a substantial boost to image sharpness. Canon's IS system gives you up to 4 stops of image stabilization.
The lens is just a touch longer and heavier than a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L ISII, look at the photos for a comparison shot.
For video shooters, this lens gives you an amazingly small lens for the 400mm focal length. Check out the Power Focus mode in the lens instruction manual, it gives you an automatic focus pull between 2 points that you can control the speed of. It's a pretty slick feature.
Our lenses do not come with a tripod plate, please rent one here if you need one.
PLEASE NOTE:
Unlike our other lenses, the super telephoto lenses will be shipped in soft cases which can be used to transport the lens during your rental period.
