It gives you up to +/- 8.5° of tilt for focus control and up to +/- 12mm of shift to adjust composition and perspective, and its tilt-locking mechanism provides added stability when shooting. Its 10.6-inch minimum focusing distance and 0.5x maximum magnification give you great depth-of-field control when photographing close-up subjects.

Independent Tilt and Shift Control. You can independently rotate the tilt and shift axes between themselves and the camera body, rather than remaining at 90° like many other tilt-shift lenses require.

Advanced Optical Design. The Canon TS-E 50mm f/2.8L Macro’s nine-group/twelve-element optical design features one aspherical element and two Ultra Low Dispersion elements to combat color fringing, distortion, and aberrations. Canon applies Air Sphere and Subwavelength coatings to all of the lens elements to reduce flare, minimize ghosting, and maintain high contrast and color neutrality.

Full-Frame Coverage. This 35mm-format full-frame lens is designed for Canon’s full line of EF-mount DSLRs, but you can also use it on APS-C cameras.
