Spare Battery Option. The Canon LP-E19 is designed for use with the Canon 1DX Mark II and 1DX. Our cameras are shipped with a single battery, but we offer these as a spare battery option.

Modest Capacity Increase. While the previous generation LP-E4N offered 2450 mAh of output, the LP-E19 expands on that to 2700 mAh. This provides roughly 1210 shots per charge. Additional battery specs can be found here.

Optimized for 1DX II. To get the maximum continuous frame rate out of the 1DX Mark II, you’ll need use the LP-E19. Otherwise, frame rates are reduced.

Backwards Compatibility. The LP-E19 is compatible with previous generation 1D-series cameras like the 1Ds Mark III, 1D Mark III, 1D Mark IV, and 1DX.

Requires the LC-E19. This battery only charges on the Canon LC-E19 Battery Charger. If you only have a previous generation 1D-series charger, you won’t be charging this battery (unless you rent one).
