Super 35 Coverage. The Cooke 18mm T2.8 miniS4/i Cine is a lightweight, high-quality PL-mount cinema lens with a true T2.8 aperture. This lens supports Super 35mm sensors, including the RED Helium 8K.

Cinema Design. This lens’s cine-style aperture and focusing rings boast standard 0.8 mod gears so that you can easily install a follow-focus system, lens motor, or lens-control system, and its 110mm front diameter lets you use almost any cine-style matte box. It boasts a generous 77° of iris rotation and an extended 300° smooth focus throw that gives you accurate focus pulling with almost no focus breathing. The 18mm is compatible with, and color-balanced and color-matched to Cooke’s 5/i, S4/i, and Anamorphic/i lenses to keep things consistent.

Advanced Optics. The 18mm T2.8’s optics are designed to give you the best possible performance at full aperture while warding off flare, distortion, and spherical aberrations. They’re well-balanced for astigmatism, and they correct for lateral and longitudinal aberrations over the entire image area.

Cooke /i Metadata Support. The Cooke 18mm T2.8 miniS4/i Cine supports Cooke’s /i metadata protocols to communicate with the camera, recording optical characteristics and lens settings to every frame to make post-production easier. This is especially useful when you’re adding effects in post. The electronics are accessible via a cable connector near the PL mount, and contacts in the mount sync with /i-compatible cameras and accessories.

High-Quality Build. The 18mm was designed for a wide range of shooting applications including hand-held and Steadicam, and it balances comfortably when used with compact cameras. A cam-style focus mechanism ensures smooth adjustments, while large, clear numbers on both sides of the barrel give your focus puller the option of working on either side of the lens. The body boasts a scratch-resistant PTFE hard anodized finish, which increases durability so that you can shoot in inclement conditions.
