Fast Portrait Lens. The XF 56mm f/1.2 R gives uses an 84mm focal length after sensor-crop factor, making it perfect for portraiture. Additionally, the fast f/1.2 aperture provides ideal subject/background isolation through shallow depth of field. The fast aperture also makes this lens a great option for low-light shooting.
Manual Controls. Like many other XF lenses, the XF 56mm f/1.2 features manual aperture and focus rings.
DC Coreless Autofocus Micromotor. This motor provides fast, accurate autofocus performance. It has an internal focusing design, allowing the lens to remain the same physical length while it’s focusing.
High-Quality Optics and Build. Two extra-low dispersion elements, one double-sided aspherical element, and four elements with convex surfaces facing the front of the lens reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations while increasing image sharpness and clarity. The metal barrel gives this lens a solid, sturdy feel.
