The Leica 14-24mm f/2.8 ASPH Super-Vario-Elmarit-SL is a fast-aperture wide-angle zoom designed for full-frame Leica L-mount cameras. Key features include:
Great for landscapes, reportage, and astrophotography
Sharpness and clarity throughout the zoom range
Fast, nearly silent autofocus; 11-inch minimum focus
Weather-resistant all-metal construction
Versatile Zoom Range. The Leica 14-24mm f/2.8 ASPH Super-Vario-Elmarit-SL’s wide-angle focal-length range, fast f/2.8 constant aperture, and 114° field of view make it exceptional for landscapes, reportage, architectural shooting, and even astrophotography.
Advanced Optical Design. The 14-24mm’s thirteen-group/eighteen-element optical construction incorporates three aspherical elements. All that glass means reduced chromatic aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range to give you exceptionally sharp, clear images.
Focus, Focus, Focus. The Dual Synchro Drive autofocus system provides fast, accurate, nearly silent performance, and the eleven-inch minimum focusing distance lets you get in close.
Durable Construction. The lens body’s all-metal weather-sealed design keeps the dust and moisture out, so you can keep working even in inclement conditions. Water-repellent AquaDura coatings on the front and rear optical surfaces protect against moisture and other elements, the built-in metal hood keeps unwanted light from hitting the lens while shielding the curved front element from damage, and there’s a rear holder for sheet filters.
This lens was designed for use on Leica L-mount cameras. It isn’t compatible with Leica M-mount cameras.
