The Leica 35mm f/2 ASPH Summicron-M II is a fast-aperture, moderately wide angle M-mount lens and update to the Leica 35mm f/2 ASPH Summicron. Key features include:
Great for landscape and street photography
High-contrast images
Smooth, all-manual focus system
Eleven-blade iris for extra-smooth bokeh
What’s New. It’s a little smaller and a little lighter than its predecessor, which makes it an even better street-photography partner with any of the Leica rangefinder cameras like the Leica M10 or Leica M Monochrom – Typ 246.
Moderately Wide Angle. This full-frame lens provides a nice balance between wide angle and normal range. The 35mm focal length has long been a staple for landscape, street, and all around general photography.
Optics. The 35mm Summicron-M II’s aspherical element minimizes aberrations and distortion, regardless of focus distance. Its seven elements in five groups ensure high-contrast images with great control over lens flare and ghosting. Images remain tack-sharp even when working at f/2. This lens’s eleven-blade iris will help keep your bokeh smooth.
Build. The 35mm Summicron-M II features a smooth all-manual focus system and a new all-metal screw-on hood.
