Advanced Optics. The 90-280mm f/2.8-4’s 17-group/23-element construction includes 7 anomalous partial-dispersion elements. This reduces chromatic aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range, giving you sharp, clear images. The Optical Image Stabilization system can handle up to 3.5 stops of camera shake for sharper hand-held shooting with longer shutters.

Focus, Focus, Focus. The linear-positioned stepping motor is smooth, accurate, and nearly silent. The Vario-Elmarit SL 90-280 focuses at a mere 2 feet at the 90mm focal-length position, and at 4.6 feet at the 280mm focal-length position. An internal focusing system means the front filter ring does not rotate during use, which makes it easier to work with circular polarizers, graduated ND filters, and other filters that require a specific orientation.

Telephoto Range. The 90-280mm L-mount zoom covers a long zoom range for everything from a portrait length to a full-on telephoto distance. The lens is designed for use on full-frame mirrorless cameras, but you can also use it on a crop sensor, where it’ll provide a 135-420mm equivalent focal length range.
