Pro Video Head. To start, the 502AH Pro Video Head offers a stronger construction than its predecessor, and is a great option for managing cinematic moves during your shoot. This flat base version of the 502AH offers a 3/8"-16 female threaded mounting hole to attach to the included tripod, or a tripod or slider of your choice. Capping out at 22 pounds of gear and 8.8 pounds of counterbalance weight, most any DSLR or compact camcorders will fit this product nicely.

Plates and Other Things. The included balance plate on the 502AH has a 3.27 inch range which enables correction for uneven payloads when using a mate box or rig. You’ll find that there are two separate locks for both pan and tilt, and the sliding quick release plate is secured by a secondary safety system. Pan friction control is nearly instinctive and easy to set thanks to Manfrotto’s patented bridging technology.

Aluminum Tripod. This MT055XPRO3 aluminum tripod offers three-section support and has a total load capacity of 44 pounds. The length of this tripod can extend from 3.5 inches to 67 inches and is secured in place by quick power flip locks. The center column can be horizontally positioned and has a redesigned “one finger” operation.
