The Moza Slypod is a motorized slider masquerading as a monopod. The Slypod offers 11 inches of travel for cameras up to 9 pounds with a maximum reach of 38 inches. Key features include:

Slider + Monopod = Slypod. The Moza Slypod combines a short, 21-inch monopod with an integrated, motorized boom extension that can move at about an inch per second to a fully extended length of 38 inches.
Payload. The slider component of the Slypod can handle up to 9 pounds when used horizontally or up to 20 pounds when used vertically.
Onboard & Wireless Control. Slider movement can be controlled with buttons near the grip or with iOS or Android apps running the Slypod control app. Users can have control over speed, repeatable movements, and even time-lapse functions. Please note that time-lapse functions will require additional camera control cables (not included).
Built-In Battery. The Slypod can run for two continuous hours on a single charge, and the internal battery is recharged with a USB Type-C cable and USB power brick or laptop.
Mounting Options. This rental includes a simple quick-release ball head with 1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 screws for mounting your camera. The Slypod itself has an attachment point for horizontally mounting the slider on a fluid head for jib-like moves.

There have been reports of too much camera shake when using this product but our testing has shown that by locking down the pan/tilt head correctly and performing a calibration before shooting, camera movements are generally smooth.

A second known issue with this product is slider noise. While some noise is expected with any motorized slider system, the Slypod is slightly louder than other products and we recommend you planning your audio needs accordingly.

No, camera-specific shutter-release cables aren’t included with the rental of the Moza Slypod.
