If you haven’t used a teleconverter before, please read about their limitations here.
For Select Lenses. This teleconverter only works with select Nikkor lenses: Check Nikon’s ever-updating compatibility list here.
Please, folks; if the lens you want to use this with isn’t listed above, don’t order it. It doesn’t work with the 80-400mm. It has never worked with the 80-400. It’s not going to work with the original 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 ED AF VR when you try it, nor will it work well with a 12-24mm f/4G AF-S DX. And we swear people have tried.
Does this teleconverter support autofocus?
This teleconverter only supports autofocus if the effective maximum aperture of the lens and teleconverter combo does not exceed the limits of your chosen Nikon camera. This teleconverter adds two stops, so f/2.8 becomes f/5.6, f/4 becomes f/8, etc. Check your manual or feel free to contact us to verify if autofocus will work.
