High-Quality Optics. The Nikon Z 24-120mm’s thirteen-group/sixteen-element optical design features three extra-low dispersion elements, three aspherical elements, and one aspherical ED element, which combine to promote sharpness and color rendering while limiting chromatic aberrations. Nikon has applied Nano Crystal and Super Integrated coatings to the elements to combat ghosting and lens flare, even when you’re working in bright or backlit conditions.

Consistent Aperture. The constant f/4 maximum aperture gives you consistent performance throughout the zoom range and is useful in average lighting conditions. It also contributes to this lens’s relatively compact and lightweight build. The nine rounded aperture blades contribute to smooth bokeh.

Multi-Focus Autofocus System. This lens’s multi-focus system incorporates two synchronized autofocus drive units to give you fast, accurate performance while also reducing the color fringing and chromatic aberrations that are so common in macro lenses. This system’s stepping motors provide smooth, nearly silent performance that’s particularly suited to video applications. You also get full-time manual-focus override and a 1.1-foot minimum focusing distance.

Durable Build. This lens’s durable, moisture-resistant construction means you can use it in adverse conditions without worry. The exposed elements have a fluorine coating to protect them from debris and smearing. A programmable control ring lets you adjust manual focus, aperture, or exposure compensation, and an assignable L.Fn button works in conjunction with cameras’ Fn buttons to let you quickly and seamlessly change exposure settings and other functions.
