Nikon Z System. The Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S was designed specifically for cameras in Nikon’s full-frame Z-mount system. Z-mount lenses only work with Z-mount cameras, and Z-mount cameras are only compatible with Z-mount lenses.
Normal-Range Zoom. With full-frame sensor coverage, this lens’s 24-70mm focal length is the go-to for portrait, wedding, and event photography. It covers the wide to short tele focal lengths to give you the most flexibility while still maximizing image quality and speed.
High-Quality Optics. The Nikon Z 24-70mm’s fifteen-group/seventeen-element optical design features two extra-low dispersion elements and four aspherical elements to promote sharpness and color rendering while limiting chromatic aberrations. Nikon has applied ARNEO, Nano Crystal, and Super Integrated coatings to the elements to combat ghosting and lens flare, even when you’re working in bright or backlit conditions.
Constant Aperture. The constant f/2.8 maximum aperture gives you consistent performance throughout the zoom range. It’s great for working in low light, and for using selective-focus techniques. The nine rounded aperture blades contribute to smooth bokeh.
Multi-Focus Autofocus System. This system uses two synchronized autofocus drive units to deliver fast and accurate operation throughout the zoom range. It uses stepping motors for smooth, nearly silent performance that’s great for stills and video alike. You also get full-time manual focusing for precision adjustments, while the internal-focusing design means that the lens maintains its length during focusing.
Advanced Build. This lens’s durable, moisture-resistant construction means you can use it in adverse conditions without worry. A programmable control ring lets you adjust manual focus, aperture, or exposure compensation. An integrated OLED lens-information panel lets you quickly confirm aperture setting, focus distance, and depth-of-field figures right on the lens, in light or dark conditions. An assignable L.Fn button works in conjunction with cameras’ Fn buttons to let you quickly and seamlessly change exposure settings and other functions.
