Continuous Shooting Powerhouse. The OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mirrorless offers a variety of sophisticated features dedicated to helping you grab the perfect stills and videos. The camera provides quick continuous shooting up to 30 fps, as well as DCI and UHD 4K video recording. When working in DCI, a true 24p frame rate is used, while UHD 4K is available in frame rates up to 30p.

DCI and UHD 4K. The sensor and processor also support recording both DCI (4096 × 2160) and UHD (3840 × 2160) 4K movies. When working in DCI, a true 24p frame rate is used, while UHD 4K is available in frame rates up to 30p. Audio recording is possible using the built-in stereo microphone, and an external mic jack is available for improved audio recording quality. Additionally, a Time-lapse Movie mode is also available for recording up to 4K UHD resolution

Image Stabilization. This unique image stabilization system works across five axes to compensate for vertical angle rotation, horizontal angle rotation, horizontal shift, vertical shift, and rolling camera shake movement. This range of detected movements benefits traditional still image shooting as well as movie recording and working with moving subjects more effectively. Additionally, when paired with select lenses featuring optical image stabilization, shake compensation up to 7.5 stops is possible.

Creative Shooting Modes. There are four Creative Shooting Modes at your disposal, each of which serves a unique purpose. High Res Shot Mode composites a series of twelve shots into a single high-res frame in a mere five seconds. Live ND Mode digitally simulates an optical ND filter to give you long exposure/slow shutter speed effects. Live Composite Mode builds up an exposure over time without overexposing elements within the frame, making it ideal for night shooting, light painting, and long exposures. Finally, Focus Stacking Mode automatically generates images with varied points of focus and combines them to produce an extended depth of field.

Design and Connectivity. The splashproof, dustproof, and freezeproof construction of the OM-5 incorporates extensive sealing throughout the body design to accommodate working in harsh weather conditions and trying environments. For distortion free viewing, a high-resolution 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder is incorporated into the design. The attached rear 3-inch touchscreen LCD angles up, out, and down to meet any viewing preferences. Additionally included are a variety of connections, like the microphone port, a top hot shoe, micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports, and a 2.5mm port for optional remotes. This camera takes UHS-II compatible SD memory cards for fast read/write speeds.

Power Trip. The included BLS-50 rechargeable lithium-ion battery is used to provide approximately 310 shots per charge, and can be charged inside the camera by using the micro-USB port.

This camera does NOT include a separate battery charger, it charges the battery in-camera with the supplied USB C cable and power adapter.
