The Panasonic 50mm f/1.4 S PRO is a versatile normal-length prime for L-mount mirrorless cameras. Key features include:
Versatile normal-length prime
Unique double-focus system
Advanced optical design
Compatible with all L-mount cameras
Versatile Normal-Length Prime. The Panasonic 50mm f/1.4 S PRO is a versatile normal-length prime that’s great in low light. Using an APS-C camera? You’ll get a 75mm equivalent focal length.
L-Mount Alliance. This wide-diameter lens mount is a joint collaboration between Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma that’s focused on a line of premium cameras & lenses in a mirrorless format. At 51.6mm mount diameter and just 20mm flange distance, the L-mount is well-suited for fast-aperture full-frame optics with compact dimensions.
Unique Double-Focus System. This lens’s double-focus system uses a linear motor and a stepping motor to provide fast, accurate, nearly silent autofocus performance for still and video use. You can use the AF/MF switch to easily toggle between autofocus and manual focus modes.
Constant f/1.4 Aperture. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture gives you excellent response in low-light conditions and improved depth-of-field control for subject-background isolation. The rounded eleven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
Optics. The eleven-group/thirteen-element optical formula includes two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortion.
Does this lens natively mount to Micro 4/3 mount cameras?
No! While Panasonic has a wide variety of Micro 4/3 cameras and lenses, the L-mount used in this line is a completely different lens mount from Micro 4/3.
