What’s Changed? A couple of notable features differentiate the Ricoh GR III Street Edition from the standard Ricoh GR III. It features a Full Press Snap feature, which lets you instantly shift the lens’s focus point to a preselected position in the frame when you fully press the shutter button or tap the rear touchscreen. It includes two DB-110 batteries to extend the length of your shooting sessions, and it also features a host of aesthetic changes that don’t affect its functionality.
Large APS-C Sensor. The combination of a 24.2MP sensor and GR Engine 6 image processor gives you high-res 14-bit DNG and JPEG stills with impressive tonality and natural color rendering while enabling great low-light performance from ISO 100-102,400. You get 35mm at 15MP and 50mm at 7MP crop modes that let you simulate the look of working with longer focal lengths. The GR III can also capture Full HD video at 60p, 30p, and 24p.
Prime Wide-Angle Lens. The fixed 18.3mm f/2.8 lens provides a 35mm focal length equivalent to 28mm, making it a strong choice for street and landscape photographers. The lens’s six-element/four-group design features two aspherical elements to maximize image quality while reducing optical aberrations and ensuring corner-to-corner sharpness. There are two focus modes: from 3.9 inches to infinity for working with general subjects, and a dedicated macro setting for close-up subjects within a 2.4- to 4.7-inch range.
Three-Axis Shake Reduction. The three-axis shake-reduction system helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake when you’re shooting handheld at lower shutter speeds. The shake-reduction system has been optimized for use with the camera’s built-in 28mm lens, and offers moiré reduction and dust-removal capability.
Large, High-Res Touchscreen LCD. The 3.0-inch 1.037m-dot touchscreen LCD allows for intuitive control during shooting, playback, and menu navigation.
Advanced Ricoh Controls. The GR III Street Edition has a reconfigured rear layout that gives you a larger thumb grip while making the control dials more accessible. Several programmable buttons allow for a wide range of custom control adjustments, and there’s integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for easy file transfer.
Memory and Power. This camera includes two rechargeable DB-110 batteries, each of which is rated for approximately 200 shots per charge, and it records images to SDHC/XC memory cards.
This camera does NOT include a separate battery charger, it charges the battery in-camera with the supplied USB C cable and power adapter.
No, this rental doesn’t include a viewfinder.
