The RODE RODECaster Pro II Integrated Audio Production Studio takes everything great about the original RODECaster and adds features tailored to streamers, gamers, and musicians. Key features include:

  • Four phantom powered XLR mic inputs w/ high-end preamps

  • Eight programmable SMART pads with bank switching

  • Color-coded customizable multichannel mixer

  • Headphone monitoring with discrete volume control

Integrated Audio Production. The RODE RODECaster Pro II Integrated Audio Production Studio does everything its predecessor could but better, and expands its production suite to offer tools perfect for streaming, gaming, and music recording. Four phantom-powered XLR inputs are also designed to accept instruments like guitar and bass, along with any XLR microphone. Bluetooth and USB connectivity further expand the possible access points for inputting or outputting audio.

Boutique Quality Preamps. Boutique preamps are known for being high-quality and high-dollar, but the RODECaster Pro II brings the transparency, detail, and clarity into one device by adding four Revolution preamplifiers capable of recording sound from as low as -131.5 dBV and features gain up to 76 dB. These ideal recording levels eliminate the need for microphone boosters, lifters, or normalizers, and even work well with low-output dynamic microphones.

Built-In Sound Processing. The RODECaster Pro II features a 5.5" color touchscreen with haptic feedback and brightness adjustment and an encoder to help navigate menus with ease. Within these menus are a host of excellent processing and effect tools, including an exciter, deep boost, compressor, reverb, delay, EQ, pitch shifter, and more. The onboard VoxLab editor can manipulate parameters straight from the device or from a connected computer, allowing you to adjust the sound profile of each input and effect, save presets, and load them with ease.

Pads, But Smarter. The RODECaster Pro II takes the sound pads from the RODECaster and makes them even more functional by allowing them to be programmed to trigger audio, activate special effects, send MIDI commands, and even execute mixing functions like fades and bleeps. Each pad can access up to eight banks, each containing a unique action, allowing you to activate up to 64 different actions in an instant. Each of these banks can be color coded to ensure you remember what each can do.

9 Channel Mixing. The RODECaster Pro II includes a 9-channel mixer, 6 of which can be controlled via the broadcast-quality physical faders, while the other three are virtual channels. In a future update, RODE promises support for expansion via digital hosting and hardware integrations. Each fader and virtual channel can be freely assigned to any of the four analog inputs, the USB and Bluetooth interfaces, and the eight SMART pads. Each channel includes mute, solo listening, and pan control, as well as color coding.

Listen to This. Outputting audio is easier than ever with the Pro II. Record stereo or individual multitrack files to a microSD card or external drive for future use; connect to a computer via USB to stream or record audio; four 1/4" headphone outputs allow four people to personally monitor audio, with a discrete color-coded volume control dial for individual leveling; or connect a pair of speakers via line-out or bluetooth to amplify the sound to a live audience. The Pro II runs at the industry standard for video production, 24-bit / 48 kHz.

Q & A

Will I need anything else?
  • Please note, the internal memory is only intended to record jingles and programable pads. If you’ll be using the internal recording function, you’ll need a microSD card. You can see our recommended option here, or more options in the “Recommended” section of this page.

  • This rental does not include microphones. You can’t go wrong with the Sennheiser MD 46 and don’t forget desk stands.

How do I mount a microphone to a table or desk?
