The 100-400’s zoom range and rounded nine-blade diaphragm make it great for wildlife and nature photography. You can also use this lens on DX models, on which it’ll provide a 150-600mm equivalent focal length.

Optical image Stabilization. The 100-400mm’s built-in optical image stabilization system minimizes the appearance of camera shake, allowing you to shoot hand-held and in other unstable conditions without worrying about your photos’ sharpness.

Teleconverter Compatible. You can use the optional TC-1401 and TC-2001 teleconverters (separate rental items) to extend this lens’s reach to 140-560mm f/7-9 and 200-800mm f/10-12.6, respectively.
