High Build and Image Quality. As a part of Sigma’s Art lens line, this lens goes through Sigma’s rigorous A1 testing to ensure high image quality. Optically, this lens uses three aspherical elements, two Super Low-Dispersion elements, and two “F” Low-Dispersion glass elements to minimize distortion, field curvature, and aberrations throughout the zoom range. A Super Multi-Layer Coating minimizes lens flare and ghosting to help produce high-contrast, color-accurate images. The barrel is made of a lightweight TSCcompound that gives the lens a solid, sturdy feel. The Hyper Speed Motor provides fast, silent autofocus performance for both still and video shooting.

Dock Compatible. As part of Sigma’s Global Vision series, this lens is compatible with the Sigma USB Dock for Canon EF Lenses, allowing you to adjust certain parameters through the Sigma Optimization Pro software.
