The Sigma 500mm f/4 DG HSM OS S A1 for Canon is a high-grade super telephoto lens designed for full-frame Canon DSLRs. Key features include:
Excellent for sports and wildlife photography
Advanced optical design for high-quality images
Hyper Sonic Motor autofocus system
Four-stop optical image stabilization system
Super Telephoto. The Sigma 500mm f/4 DG OS HSM Sports for Canon is perfect for sports and wildlife shooters. The variable f/4 aperture is pretty fast considering the focal length of the lens.
Hyper Sonic Motor Autofocus System. This autofocus system provides fast, silent operation in a wide variety of shooting situations. The AF/MF switch offers a Manual-Override position, which enables full-time manual-focus override for quick fine-tuning.
Optical Stabilizer. Helps to eliminate camera shake when shooting by up to four stops of shutter, meaning you get crisper photos. For improved panning performance, Sigma uses an Intelligent optical stabilizer to help detect horizontal and vertical movement when shooting in Mode 2.
High Image Quality. As part of Sigma’s Sports line, this lens goes through Sigma’s rigorous A1 testing to ensure high image quality. Two “F” Low-Dispersion (FLD) elements, which perform equivalently to fluorite, eliminate residual chromatic aberration. Meanwhile, one Special Low-Dispersion (SLD) element keeps color aberrations at bay.
Professional Build. The lens barrel is constructed of magnesium alloy, making the lens durable and lightweight. Dust- and splash-proof sealing further ensure uninhibited shooting in messy situations, with water and oil-repellent coatings on the front and rear element to keep the lens clean. The 500mm makes use of a drop-in filter system.
Our lenses do not come with a tripod plate, please rent one here if you need one.
