“Sci-Fi Horizontal Flares” and oval bokeh effect
Advanced optical design
Cinematize Your Shots. The Sirui 24mm f/2.8 Anamorphic 1.33x enlarges your horizontal field of view up to 33% compared to standard 24mm APS-C lenses. After a de-squeeze, this lens captures images in an anamorphic 2.4:1 format in a 16:9 setting.
Distinctive Horizontal Flare and Oval Bokeh Effects. This lens’s optical design and nano coatings produce horizontal blue streaks with very little stray light, which Sirui calls “Sci-Fi Horizontal Flares.” The 24mm f/2.8 uses its eight aperture blades to produce oval bokeh with shallow depth of field, which you can optimize with a turn of the aperture ring.
Advanced Optics. The 24mm f/2.8’s ten-group/thirteen-element optical design includes German-manufactured Schott optical glass elements with multilayer Nano coatings to create its ultra-wide rectangular aspect ratios, long horizontal lens flares, and oval bokeh.
