Distinctive Horizontal Flare and Oval Bokeh Effects. This lens’s optical design and nano coatings produce horizontal blue streaks with very little stray light, which Sirui calls “Sci-Fi Horizontal Flares.” The 50mm f/1.8 uses its ten aperture blades to produce oval bokeh with shallow depth of field, which you can optimize with a turn of the aperture ring.
