The Teradek VidiU X HD is a streaming video encoder with an HDMI input that allows you to share video to popular video streaming platforms like Facebook Live, Twitch, and YouTube via Wi-Fi & Ethernet. Key features include:

Compact Video Streaming. The Teradek VidiU X HD updated the Teradek VidiU Pro with a slightly changed case and HDMI output. Video can be streamed via Wi-Fi & Ethernet, and the box itself is small enough to be mounted camera-top.

Requires Internet Access to Function. The quality of your experience with the Teradek VidiU X HD will be dependent upon the speed and reliability of your internet access. We always recommend a wired Ethernet connection, but for situations where Wi-Fi is your only option, we recommend 15 Mbps internet speed for 1080p streaming.

Flexible Streaming Options. The VidiU X HD supports a range of different live-streaming services like Facebook, YouTube Live, Vimeo, Persicope, Twitch, Wowza, Ustream, Livestream, or any RTMP Platform.

MicroSD Card Backup. You can record your stream to a microSD card. This allows you to archive, make quick edits, and redistribute footage to other video services.

AC or USB Type-C Power Only. This VidiU “does not” feature an internal battery, but we include an AC adapter for powering. The device can be powered from select USB power bricks. Please contact us if you have any questions about how to do this.

No, but they can be rented separately here.

Does this have an internal battery?

No. This requires an external power source such as an ac adapter or USB-C power bank.

How do I power this device on?

Once an HDMI source and AC adapter are detected, the VidiU X will automatically power on.
