Full-Frame PL Mount. The Venus Optics Laowa Ranger 28-75mm T2.9 FF Cine Zoom (PL) is designed for use on PL-mount cameras. Its 43.2mm image circle will cover full-frame and Super 35mm sensors.

Versatile Wide-to-Portrait Cine Zoom. The 28-75mm’s wide-angle to portrait-length zoom range, T2.9 maximum aperture, 75.4° to 32.2° angle of view, and 0.23x maximum magnification make it great for a broad range of applications, from close-ups with lush background blur to sweeping landscapes and wide establishing shots. Its parfocal design keeps your subject in focus across the entire zoom range, and the 1.6-foot minimum focusing distance lets you get reasonably close to your subject.

Advanced Optical Design. This lens’s 18-group/22-element optical design allows you to capture sharp, detailed images throughout its focal length, and its eleven-blade aperture gives you pleasing circular bokeh and a unique wide and shallow depth of field.

Professional-Grade Cinema Housing. The aperture, focus, and zoom rings all boast standard 0.8 mod gears so that you can easily install a follow-focus system. The extended 270° smooth focus throw enables accurate focus pulling with almost no focus breathing, the 100° zoom throw ensures precision zoom movement, and the 42° aperture rotation allows for exacting depth-of-field control. This lens’s relatively lightweight and compact design means you can use it for hand-held shooting, and on gimbals, shoulder rigs, car rigs, and more.

Uniform Design. All of the Laowa Ranger lenses have uniform gear positions so that you can switch among different focal lengths with ease, while their standard 80mm front diameters and 77mm filter threads let you use common matte boxes and filters.
